Keep Our Grain Farmers Growing

Ontario’s grain farmers are working hard to deliver the high-quality grains our families depend on. But the cost of farming in Canada is becoming increasingly unaffordable, putting the future of our family farms at risk.

What’s This About?

Ontario’s grain farmers play a critical role in keeping high-quality grains on Canadian tables. But they’re now paying more for the price of carbon than they would for the fuel needed to dry their grain. To ensure grain farmers can continue to put high quality grains on Canadian tables, we need government to give our farmers a break. They’re doing their part to keep support a more sustainable future*, but that future is at risk if government doesn’t act today.

Take Action!

To ensure grain farmers can continue to keep high-quality food on our kitchen tables, we need government to step up to keep farming affordable.  Email your elected officials today to let them know our farmers need an exemption on the carbon price for the fuel used to dry our grains until a proven fossil fuel alternative is in place.
